Lux Noir emerged as a counterpart to Vidar Kolbrand—a way to explore the same emotions of forbidden or unspoken love, but through a feminine lens. She was born from the idea that emotional expression is not limited by gender; every person carries both masculine and feminine aspects, and Lux Noir became a way to give voice to the more introspective, sensitive, and intuitive side of longing.
In my mind, she is the part of me that observes, feels, and reflects deeply on desire, attachment, and the intensity of emotions that are often hidden. While Vidar expresses restraint, longing, and the tension of unacted desire, Lux Noir allows me to experiment with vulnerability, sensuality, and subtlety in the emotional storytelling.

Her creation was both deliberate and organic—starting as a thought experiment about how a song or lyric might sound if sung from a female perspective, and evolving into a fully-fledged character with her own voice, style, and presence. Through Lux Noir, I can explore the softer, darker, and more mysterious emotional landscapes in my music, giving depth and contrast to the expressions of love, loss, and desire that define my work.
Lux Noir is the kind of person who immediately makes you notice her, even without trying. She has this quiet intensity, a presence that’s both mysterious and magnetic. She notices things others miss, and there’s a sensitivity in her that makes her feel everything deeply—joy, pain, longing. She’s independent and confident, but also has a soft, vulnerable side that she only shows to those she trusts.
She moves through the world thoughtfully, dresses simply but with style, and has a way of speaking that makes people listen. Lux has a creative mind and a way of turning emotion into something almost tangible, whether through words, music, or art. Spending time with her feels like stepping into a world that’s richer, more nuanced, and quietly alive.
She’s real, grounded, yet somehow untouchable—the kind of person who leaves an impression that stays long after she’s gone.
