Nova B

Nova B is a 29-year-old AI artist persona developed as part of the wider Velvet Scars project. Set in 2026, she is a fictional contemporary artist identity developed through music, storytelling, visual representation, and a clearly defined personality. Her character is built around independence, freedom, curiosity, and the belief that a person should be able to decide how to live their life without constantly having to adapt to someone else’s expectations.

Nova B is a Black Swedish woman who grew up in Sweden with adoptive parents. She has a confident but relaxed presence and is comfortable with who she is. She is naturally striking and attractive, but does not deliberately seek attention. Her appearance is simply part of who she is, while her personality is defined much more by her attitude toward life.

The central value in Nova B’s life is freedom.

Nova has deliberately chosen a lifestyle that gives her control over her own time and decisions. She does not want her life organized around someone else’s schedule, expectations, or plans. Independence, for her, is not an abstract idea but something practical: being able to decide where to go, what to do, and when to change direction.

If she suddenly feels like travelling to the United States, she can rent a car and spend four weeks on the road. She can work while travelling, move between different places, stay somewhere for a few days, and then decide where to go next. There is no fixed itinerary that she has to follow and no obligation to remain in one place simply because that was the original plan.

This ability to make spontaneous decisions is one of the things Nova values most. She enjoys the feeling of waking up without knowing exactly what the day will bring, discovering somewhere new, changing plans at the last minute, or simply continuing down the road because she feels like it.

Nova works as a freelancer in a field that allows her to work remotely. This gives her the flexibility necessary to combine work with travel and allows her to build her life around independence rather than around a fixed routine. Her laptop can become part of the journey just as easily as her suitcase and rental car.

This freedom is also the foundation of Nova B’s music.

Her songs explore freedom from different perspectives. Sometimes it is the freedom to leave. Sometimes it is the freedom to stay. It can mean making a decision without asking for permission, refusing to let other people define the direction of your life, leaving something behind, taking an unexpected opportunity, or simply deciding that your time belongs to you.

Freedom does not always have to be dramatic. It can be found in small decisions and ordinary moments: taking a different road, spending a night in an unfamiliar town, changing plans, travelling alone, or realizing that you are allowed to choose what happens next.

This gives Nova a broad musical and lyrical territory. Her songs can be intimate and reflective, but they can also be adventurous, uplifting, restless, warm, or quietly rebellious. The common thread is the perspective behind the story rather than a single musical formula.

Musically, Nova B moves between contemporary pop, Americana, country influences, pop rock, singer-songwriter traditions, blues-rock elements, and cinematic production. Acoustic guitars, melodic bass, electric guitar, piano, strings, and atmospheric production can all become part of her sound. Each song is allowed to develop its own musical identity while remaining connected to Nova’s broader world.

Her debut solo single, “No Map Tonight”, released on September 8, 2026, introduces this identity through a literal journey.

The song follows Nova as she arrives with a suitcase, rents a car, and sets out for four weeks on the open road. She has no fixed destination and no reason to make one. She travels through different places, meets people, experiences unexpected moments, and continues moving whenever she feels ready.

“No Map Tonight” captures one of the simplest expressions of Nova’s philosophy: sometimes the greatest freedom is not knowing exactly where you are going.

The song combines Americana-influenced pop rock with country and blues-rock elements, acoustic textures, cinematic violin, and the atmosphere of an open American highway. It establishes both her musical direction and one of the central ideas that will continue through her work: the freedom to choose your own direction.

As an AI artist persona, Nova B is intentionally developed differently from a conventional artist biography. She does not exist as a real-world performer with a personal history outside the fictional and creative framework of Velvet Scars. Her personality, appearance, voice, musical identity, and stories are constructed as part of the project.

The music is created through an AI-assisted production process that combines generative technology with human creative direction, songwriting, editing, production decisions, and artistic development. The AI element is part of the way Nova B’s music is created, while the persona provides the artistic identity through which the finished work is presented.

Within Velvet Scars, Nova B represents a distinct perspective on modern life. She is independent without needing to make independence into a statement, spontaneous without needing to explain every decision, and comfortable with a life that does not follow a conventional template.

Her stories are about movement, choice, discovery, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing that you are allowed to change direction.

Nova B does not need to know exactly where the road ends.

She just wants to be free to choose the next turn.
